Who we are

Ferrocast is made by ClearCraft Labs (“ClearCraft Labs”, “we”), a sole proprietorship of Arshdeep Singh based in Amritsar, Punjab, India, registered as an MSME under Udyam number UDYAM-PB-01-0155844. You can reach us at [email protected] or through the contact page.

The app is free software

The Ferrocast desktop app, its dashboard and overlays are released under the GNU General Public License, version 3. The licence, not these terms, decides what you may do with the code: use it for any purpose, study it, change it and share it under the same licence. Nothing here limits those rights.

“Ferrocast” and the Ferrocast logo are trademarks of ClearCraft Labs. If you share a modified version, give it a different name so people can tell it apart from ours.

Using Ferrocast with streaming platforms

Ferrocast connects to Twitch, YouTube and Kick with the permissions you approve. You stay responsible for following each platform’s rules, and for what your bot, alerts and overlays show. We are not affiliated with any platform, and a platform may change or end its service in ways that affect Ferrocast.

If you connect YouTube, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, because Ferrocast uses YouTube API Services. Our privacy policy explains what that means for your data.

Tips

When you set up a tip page, viewers pay through your own account with a payment provider such as Razorpay, Stripe or Ko-fi. The payment is between the viewer, you and that provider. We never hold, receive or pass on the money and take no cut. Refunds and disputes for tips are handled by you and your provider under the provider’s terms.

Ferrocast Pro

Pro is an optional subscription for services we run on our servers, such as a 24/7 cloud bot, sync and smart filters. Pro is not on sale yet. When it is:

• Prices are in Indian rupees (₹199 a month or ₹1,999 a year at launch) and include GST where applicable. Payments are processed by Razorpay. Other currencies are shown only as an estimate.
• You must be 18 or over to buy Pro, or have the consent of a parent or lawful guardian who agrees to these terms for you.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your account.
• If we change the price, we will tell you at least 60 days before it applies to you, and you keep your price for at least 12 months from the start of your subscription.
• We will never move a free feature into Pro, and never remove a feature from a plan you pay for, except as described under If we close a cloud service.
• Refunds follow our refund and cancellation policy.

Delivery

Pro is a digital service. It is activated on your Ferrocast account right after a successful payment, and you get a receipt by email. Nothing is shipped.

If we close a cloud service

If we ever shut down a service that runs on our servers, we will give at least 180 days’ notice, keep export available until the end, and refund any unused prepaid time.

Acceptable use

Do not use Ferrocast’s hosted services (the relay, tip pages and Pro) to:

• break the law, or the rules of the platforms you stream on;
• harass, threaten or dox anyone, or run hate raids;
• attack, overload or try to get around the security of our servers;
• collect money for anything illegal or for goods you do not deliver.

We may suspend hosted services for an account that does, and will tell you why when we can.

Age

The hosted services are for people aged 18 or over. If you are under 18, you may use them only with the consent of a parent or lawful guardian, who agrees to these terms for you.

No warranty

The app is provided as is, as the GPL-3.0 says. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we cannot promise it will be free of bugs or that platforms will keep their APIs working. Keep your own exports and backups.

Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost revenue from a stream. For Pro, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, for Pro subscribers, email you at least 30 days before the change applies.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes go to the courts at Amritsar, Punjab. Before that, please write to us; most problems are solved by talking.
